Descrição: Erythroblastosis fetalis, or hemolytic disease of the fetus and newborn, is caused by blood incompatibility between mother and fetus, resulting in the production of maternal antibodies that destroy the fetus' red blood cells. Without treatment, it can lead to intrauterine death or cause serious damage to the health of the newborn, such as jaundice, anemia, brain damage, among others. Thus, the present study aimed to describe what the scientific literature reports about the methods of preventing and treating Erythroblastosis Fetalis. An integrative review was carried out in which scientific articles published in the Scielo and Google Scholar databases that addressed methods of preventing and treating hemolytic disease in newborns were searched. 214 articles were found and after applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, five eligible articles were selected for the integrative review. Based on the studies found, it can be concluded that fetal erythroblastosis can be prevented with the use of anti-Rh immunoglobulin, that the main complications are anemia and hyperbilirubinemia and treatments include phototherapy, transfusion and use of medications. As we already know about this incompatibility, prevention is sought by carrying out tests for early detection of blood incompatibility, and prevention and health education policies for the population, especially those of childbearing age, are necessary
